Erratic Pen Pressure

Postby jagglebones » Mon 1. Oct 2018, 08:05

Well I decided to restart my computer yesterday, and boy do I regret it now.

Noticed that my Wacom drivers needed updating, so I updated to version 6.3.31-4 and now my pressure sensitivity goes from normal to non-existant to extreme almost every other stroke.

I am using a PTH-860 with a pro pen 2

Here is a video demonstrating my problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQDQceZ ... e=youtu.be

I am running the latest version of windows 10. Below are my computer specs from DxDiag:

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804)
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model: AX370-Gaming K7
BIOS: BIOS Date: 09/01/17 11:09:16 Ver: 05.0000C (type: BIOS)
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor (12 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 16332MB RAM
Page File: 8391MB used, 20741MB available
Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS
DirectX Version: DirectX 12

I am also now unable to avoid getting the white circles around my cursor whenever pressing the pen button to the tablet unless "Use Windows Ink" is turned off. The actual pen and touch settings in Windows seemingly do nothing at all to disable it.

Thank you for your feedback. Have you tried to reset the Wacom Driver Preferences? Please check here.

It seemed as if resetting the wacom driver preferences was going to work for a few moments, but after 30 seconds my pen is now doing the exact same thing. I have a feeling this has something to do with the recent update to the pro pen 2's firmware interacting with Windows Ink.

Doesn't seems to be the firmware of the tablet (the pen has no firmware). As you seen in your video, the pressure indicator is consistent with the pressure you apply. The issue seems to be between in Windows Ink. Have you tried rolling the driver back to a previous version?

Forgot to mention in my previous post that I did attempt to roll back my driver. went from v6.3.31-4 back to v6.3.30-6, which is what I had previously, and still got the same results.

I also just attempted to restore my PC back to a previous point before the updates were installed and unfortunately it failed :\
