Intuos 3 and New MacBook Pro 2018

Postby Astrobutch » Mon 22. Oct 2018, 15:26

Hi,

After I found out that MacBook Pros do not like Tea, I was forced to purchase a new MacBook Pro 2018.

I have an Intuos 3 PTZ631W and I tried to install driver 6.3.19-10 drivers.

Install was fine but after a reboot and plugging into a multi-port I keep getting the "A supported tablet was not found on the system" message.

I uninstalled and tried again but to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas(apart from not feeding tea to a MacBook Pro!)

Thanks
Butch

Welcome. Intuos 3 is only supported until driver Driver 6.3.15-3. If you install any driver above that, your Intuos will not be detected, giving you that error message. You can download it from here: https://www.wacom.com/en-us/support/pro ... rt/drivers
Scroll down until you see Drivers for Previous Generation Products. I must warn you though, this driver is only supported up until Mac 10.11 El Capitan. It is not supported in OSX 10.12 or above.

Many thanks, it seems to work fine. After I have recovered from buying a new Mac, I'll buy a new Tablet..

Kind regards
Butch
