Weird behavior of Intuos pro pen

Postby epronovost » Thu 22. Nov 2018, 22:24

Hello,

When I lay my pen on the tablet and remain motionless for about two seconds a strait line shoots up in a random direction from the point where my pen was resting. What's going on and is there a way to disable that function? It's a bit annoying as I sometime rest my pen on the tablet while I'm looking at patrons or illusations.

You will need to provide a bit more details than that.
Which Operating system?
Tablet model?
Wacom Driver version?
Does this happen regardless of the progam you are using on only with specific program(s)?
Does this happen all across the tablet surface or only in a specific location?

Hello,

I'm using a Intuos pro small (not sure if it's a 2015 or 2017, but since I bought it new three days ago, I think it's a 2017). My computer is running on windows 7. I am using it on medibang and gimp and the same problem happen in both program and I'm running on the latest driver update. It does it no matter where I rest my pen on the drawing surface.

Thanks a lot for the help.

Thank you.

First off. You should not rest the pen on the tablet surface. The pen sensor is still working and it can cause your cursor to move around to abnormal locations. Even if the pen appears to be standing still.

If the pen is drawing lines while doing this. It might be because the pressure sensor in the pen is still being triggered. If that is the case, just remove the pen nib and let the pen rest horizontally over night.
