right-click drag and drop via touch gesture

Postby orthoceros » Thu 10. Jan 2019, 21:54

Hi, I have a Wacom Intuos PT M (CTH-680) tablet and its touch function is almost capable of replacing my mouse, but I miss a way to perform right-click drag&drop actions such as creating shortcuts or moving files in Windows file explorer or when using mouse gestures to control browsers, e.g. with the Foxy Gestures add-on for Firefox.

If I press the right mouse button on my USB mouse and then perform the three-finger drag action on my Wacom tablet, right dragging already works, but this is a very cumbersome workaround. If I map an ExpressKey to Keyboard/Modifier.../Clicks/Right and hold that ExpressKey, it does not work together with 3-finger dragging; instead, a right click is performed at drag start, i.e. an unwanted rightClickRelease event is sent.

I would like to have an option in the Wacom control panel to, e.g., map the existing 1-finger drag gesture to left-click dragging as is and the existing three-finger drag to right-click-dragging. (Or maybe a configurable new 4-finger drag gesture...?)

Thanks and best regards, orthoceros.

I have forwarded your feedback to the driver team. I'm not sure how much we can change this however. Most of the gestures are controlled on the OS level.
