Software Not Working?

I have an Intuos Wacom tablet. Right now my tablet is responding like a normal mouse, so it isn't making the lines like the tablet should. I have already deleted the drivers/software and then reinstalled it, which fixed it, but it has stopped working again. Is there any way I can fix it without doing that?

Unplug and replug the USB cable, remove or restore the driver settings, should help. If that still happens frequently, check power management settings for the USB port.
