Hi!
After the update to Mac OS 10.15 my Wacom pen tablet isn't working properly anymore. I have model CTH-661, and tried to install the latest and older driver to make it work again but nothing works so far.
In my preferences I see 'Wacom' in the lower part, when I select this it says it can't sync because there is a problem with the driver. The light on the tablet is burning white, but as soon as the pen touches it, it turns orange.
The settings in Security and Privacy are as mentioned on the Wacom website. The tablet is authorized to control the computer.
I hope someone can tell me which driver I have to install and how to solve the problem that my computer doesn't recognize the pen tablet.

Hi,
The model CTH-661 is unfortunately not supported in Mac OS Catalina. It has not been supported since 10.13.
I would recommend you to consider upgrading your device and future proofing yourself. Please contact the support team if you need further advise - https://support.wacom.com

Have the same problem, Catalina will not recognise the tablet with Wacom software at all.
I’m currently investigating if I can get it to work with Python, but as for now I cannot get the pen event to fire, touch and click is good tough, its just the pen…
Thinking of brush upp my skills in C++ for this one but I’d rather paint when not at work!

As I said in my previous post, the CTH-661 is not supported since Mac OS X 10.13. We will not add support for this or any other legacy device to any future driver.

I think it is a shame that this is the way to push customers to buy new products. The pen tablet works fine, it's not broken or something. That should be a compliment for your product, but you don't provide a driver that is up to date for both tablet and computer.. Not very sustainable Wacom!

I've fixed the bugs in Wacom's Bamboo driver that prevented it from loading on Catalina, give it a go:

Tbh it's absolutely disgraceful for Wacom to just shrug and say "Just buy one of our newer products, we don't care" if all it took was some coding around some newer bugs they didn't ever care to look into and not some grave hardware incompatibility or something. I've been buying your products for the last 10 years, each properly registered and I never even received an email or a warning about this. This is just borderline planned obsolescence and I'm reporting you to the Bureau of Consumer Protection in my country.
