Intous 4 tablet fails to install correctly with multiple Wacom Drivers

Postby LanceVem4 » Thu 13. Aug 2020, 20:58

My intuos 4 tablet, Model PTK-1240, as it fails to operate with pen & correct pen sensitivity.

I am having problems getting my Intuos 4 tablet to work correctly, and I could use help and
input.

Specifically, my problem is that my intuos 4 tablet fails to operate with the pen when a
Wacom driver is installed. The pen does not track when on and/or near the tablet. Also, Pen
grip does not show up on the tools toolbar in the Wacom Tablet Properties. However, if I take
the Wacom mouse and place it on and/near the tablet, the mouse tracks and functions, and
the mouse shows up on tools toolbar in the Wacom Tablet Properties unlike the pen. However,
and also, I know that my pen is not broken nor does it need to be replaced because if no Wacom
drivers are present, then the intuos 4 pen tracks on the tablet albeit without correct pressure
sensitivity from the Wacom drivers.

I have tried a range of wacom drivers on 4 different computers and four different operating
systems, Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 10, all without correct results. I have uninstalled and
reinstall according to Wacom's guidelines. I am still not seeing success with my Intuos 4
tablet's operation.

If the pen is not being detected by the drive then it's either defective, or not compatible with your device.
