Bamboo Pen and Touch CTH-460 Windows 10 - "Troubleshoot Compatibility" Solved

I have a Bamboo Pen & Touch model CTH-460, it worked great on my Windows 7 laptop. Have a new laptop with Windows 10 Pro. After completing installation of the driver pentablet_5.3.5-3.exe and then plugging in the USB cable, Windows reported it could not find the tablet. What worked for me was uninstalling anything Wacom related. Then for the next attempt at installing the tablet driver, I right clicked on the driver filename and clicked on Troubleshoot Compatibility. Windows selected compatibility with Windows 8. After installation I had access to Tablet Preferences and could set the mapping of the tablet relative to my screen and set the function of the pen buttons.

Others have suggested directly selecting "Windows 8 compatibility" but that did not work for me, I had to let Windows decide on Windows 8 compatibility on its own.

I'm back in business.
