Intuos M intermittent line

Hi All,

A major problem has developed with my Intuos Pro and, of course, I have a deadline fast approaching.

Either the tablet or the pen is the cause. When I attempt to draw, the line either doesn't appear at all, breaks up,or the nib thickness changes without warning. It's the same result no matter which art software I use.

Some days it will work perfectly, others (and there are now more 'others') it doesn't. It's very frustrating.

I've updated the driver for the tablet several times, updated the drawing software several times, and unclicked "Ink" in the mapping tab, but with no result.

If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful.

Hi Ron,
Do you have the same issue with the eraser end of the pen?
If no, then your pen is probably defective. Either way, you should contact the customer support team as soon as possible: https://www.wacom.com/support/contact-support

Thanks for the reply. I'm in the UK but it isn't showing up in the regions that are available. Should I contact the U.S. support team?

Hi, I just made an account to post about what I think might be a similar problem. I have sent a direct message to Wacom on twitter too, but no reply yet. I thought maybe the tablet had been damaged, but the pen makes more sense I guess. I've had the Intuos Pro L around two years and this only started happening around January for no apparent reason. Using Windows 7 with up to date drivers. I have just reinstalled my old intuos 3 and that works perfectly.

I guess I kind of got used to working around it, but it's become more and more of an issue. It was the same in that some days it would seem to have resolved itself, but then would just go weird the next. I tried to raise it through customer support, but it wouldn't let me attach a jpg or png.

Hi,
That does seem like a defective pen but you need to contact support and confirm with them.
