Intuos Pro Nibs substandard?

Intuos Pro Nibs substandard?
My previous Intuos had nibs that lasted the life of the tablet. Now these new ones last less than a week if that before sharpening to shank-like levels. I'll go bankrupt if Wacom now requires daily disposable nibs. Is there a good alternative for replacements?
