Minor tracking issues with Intous 4 (L) on iMac

Postby Ocvlvs » Mon 16. Aug 2021, 06:45

Hi. I recently got an iMac to work on. I currently have the latest OS (11.5.2) and current driver (6.3.41-2) installed.

Working in latest PS (22.4.1).

It connects fine and works, BUT there's just a slight issue with the tracking of the pen, right when I've made a stroke and re-position to make another one. There's a little jump going on there or alike.

Anyone else who has this problem, or any good solution?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
Do you mean that when you are drawing a stroke, the line is jumping? Does this always occur in the same area of the tablet?

It occurs after drawing a line, when I lift the pen to start a new line, there's sometimes a small "jump" and the cursor does not land at the exact same spot as it should.

The jumps are minor, on a very small scale, but they make precision work more tedious as the lines sometimes do not end up exactly where they're supposed to.

It is the same all over the tablet.

No such issue on my PC.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? Could it be an electrical problem? I've noticed that my iMac is a little sensitive on the electrical side. It is not plugged in to a outlet with Earth and when I type on the metallic keyboard I can often hear static in my earphones. However, my PC is also connected to non-Earth outlet and no problems there. It could be the metallic chassi of the iMac perhaps, but I'm not sure..

I've also tried chaning cable and pen tip. But the problem remains on the Mac, not on the PC.
