Inkspace problems with Intuos Pro Paper

Postby beforeafter » Mon 3. Apr 2017, 20:38

My setup details:
OS: Mac 10.12.3
Computer Hardware: Macbook Pro, late 2013
Wacom Hardware: Intuos Pro Paper
Wacom Software: Inkspace
Zip file: WacomInkspaceApp_2.0.0.zip

When I download and unzip Inkspace from the Wacom website, I receive an error message from Mac OS. I can unzip the file, but when I try to run the software, I receive an error basically stating it does not work and the OS provides me a system error message with an actual button to "move to trash". If I hadn't paid for it, this error message would have been quite humorous. My computer wants to trash the Wacom Software as a favor to me.

The new Intuos Pro is working for me with the USB cable for retouching on Photoshop, however, the Paper upgrade/addition is giving me trouble. I can draw and store the image into the tablet, however without Inkspace desktop version for Mac, I have to use Inkspace App on my mobile device to upload my drawings there. Then I try to use the Inkspace browser version on my Mac to see if maybe it has synced from my phone. Nothing. No sync. So I can see my images on Inkspace Mobile, but not on the computer. I have to store the image to the phone memory, then upload to dropbox or drive, then download on my computer.

I wish I could transfer the images from the tablet seamlessly via USB or wirelessly into a folder on my Mac, that would be ideal, but since that is not possible, it would be great if the Inkspace software worked. Whether by being able to install it on my Macbook Pro or syncing the images from mobile to the browser version.

I've just purchased an Intuos Pro Paper medium, and am having exactly the same issue.

Thanks for reporting the problem. - We are aware of customers having failures installing the Inkspace App on Mac OS right now.
Our Development team is urgently investigating and hope to have a fix soon.

I am now able to use the software to download my drawing. It's kind of small resolution for my taste when you export a PSD file. Is there a setting to change the export file size for PSD?

When I export an SVG vector file and open in Photoshop, the lines are not uniform and there's little blobs of black 'ink' in random places, the line is not uniform like in the PSD version, which might be ok for some people. I guess I'd have to open it up on Illustrator and figure out if the line quality can be changed. I don't have Illustrator, I would have to license it just to test this. Oh boy.

I still can't use the browser to look at the images. It says something like it's offline. I've given up with that. Paper edition is going to be put away for good on my end. Awful functionality.

You should be able to use the Inkspace App on MacOS to get drawings from the Intuos to the Mac. The Inkspace App syncs with the Inkspace webportal and you should be able to access that in your browser. The new version of the Inkspace website shows the files in different categories, but you should find evrything there. - Update: It seems login to Inkspace website currently is not working, the team is looking into this and working on a fix.
