A supported tablet not found

Postby Why1how » Sat 24. Jun 2017, 14:43

I have been having Tablet troubles for around 2 weeks now and even called the call center but they where not helpful at all.

I have a bamboo tablet CTH-470 (old I know) and the pen is not working.

I have the proper driver installed and yes I have un installed and re installed the driver multiple times please do not suggest that again it isn't solving the problem.

The tablet reacts to my finger and allows me to move the mouse but nothing beyond that. When I access the Tablet information through devices and printers it gives a notification saying a supported tablet is not found and the drivers act as if there is no tablet.

I borrowed a friends tablet to see if my tablet was just old and malfunctioning but theirs did the same thing mine had been doing.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Open Wacom Desktop Center, go to Backup Settings and select Reset settings. That should find the tablet, if you have the correct driver installed. Otherwise something is not ok with the installation.

Sorry, the Wacom Desktop Center is a utility included only in the newer driver versions. - For older tablets and older drivers you should find a similar 'Tablet Prefs utility' in the Windows Start menu (or OSX applications) under Bamboo, PenTablet or Wacom depending on installed driver version. Last driver for Bamboo tablet is 5.3.5-3 for Windows and 5.3.7-6 for MacOs.

I tried the instructions you mentioned. I set up the driver 5.3.5-3. The problem has not improved. Most likely there is an error during the installation. Meanwhile, my new ultrabook does not have a CD entry. So I downloaded and installed the BambooDock 4.1 from the internet. What should I do?

If the wacom utility you downloaded is in ISO format you can try and search for image mounting utility which will emulate like as if your computer has CD drive but not physically.

Other than that, in event viewer it may tell you why the installation failed.
Tablet: Wacom Intuos Pro Large (2017 "Paper Edition")

Please uninstall your driver: http://www.wacom.com/en-us/support?guid ... -(manually)-and-re-install-the-Wacom-driver-on-Windows-for-a-Pen-Tablet%2C-Pen-Display%2C-or-Pen-Computer%3F&guideId=ce67b2c8-4f6f-47c8-93cd-4c6581992d1c&stPage=guideListPage-1
There is a similar article for macOS as well.

Then install the latest version from http://www.wacom.com/support/product-support/drivers.

If this doesn't help, check if resetting the device with the Wacom Preference File Utility helps. If yes - does the behavior remain after a reboot?
