Pen Pressure Sensitivity jumps to max at first

Postby ArtfulSilver » Sat 8. Jul 2017, 07:41

Hello,

I have a Wacom Intuos tablet and, when I am drawing the pressure sensitivity is at max when I first press the pen down, then is at the expected sensitivity when I am drawing. I use Cloudalpaca/Medibang Paint Pro on Windows 10, if this makes any difference at all. I don't think I have explained it very well, so here is a picture (linked) of what I am talking about.

As you can imagine, it's pretty frustrating, particularly for someone who wants to use the pen for drawing. I have downloaded and updated the latest driver.

Thanks in advance!

There is special handling in the driver at beginning of strokes, which can cause delays - and there is a Window function that could also interfere: open tablet pen properties, minimize the doubleclick distance setting and turn off 'use Windows Ink'. If that has no effect on the problem, there could be an issue in the application software and how it connects with the tablet driver. Check with the maker of the software for that.
