intous pro click instead dragging

Postby mefrankyt » Mon 7. Aug 2017, 19:23

Hello,

I am using the new Wacom intous pro tablet.
I don't use it for painting but as a mouse alternative. And I am very happy about it.

But When want to click something on the screen (touching board with pen) I often have the problem that I don't click but drag it a little bit.

Is there a solution for me to optimize that? Perhaps something in the preferences that it will be easier to click than to drag by mistake?

Thanks for your advices.

I have the same problem. Always had this problem when using tablets.

I think it's because you _actually_ drag the cursor a little bit while clicking. Which is very easy as the smallest movement can move your cursor a few pixels.

As a workaround, for very precise clicks that aren't registered as click I use my trackpad button to click.

One of the biggest annoyances when using at tablet.

Of course it would be great if Wacom would build something like a 'Start dragging'-threshold into their drivers. That would freeze the cursor a few pixels to make sure you register a click in a fixed position. Actual dragging would then only start if you move the cursor more than X amount of pixels.

Try experimenting with the Pen settings "Tip Double Click Distance" and "Tip Feel". After I changed them to "Off" and "Soft" it feels much better. Could be a different problem, though...
