[Drivers] Please Fix Input Lag

Postby Vercility » Thu 17. Aug 2017, 19:06

Literally all of the drivers have enormous input delay except for 6.3.9w5 which instead shakes all over the damn place and literally draws squares instead of circles.

It annoys the crap out of me and everyone i know that uses an intuos..

With this driver you must have a rather old tablet model ? For delays at beginning of strokes minimize doubleclick distance and turn off 'use Windows Ink' on Windows machines. For delays while moving the pointer check for interference from surrounding: If there is much disturbance, the driver has to filter a lot of invalid data and that slows it down. Such interference can come from other electric devices/cables close to the tablet, from the USB connection, from noise on the powerline. For testing move the tablet away from other devices, try other USB ports, if possible run the computer on battery. If the problem gets better in different surrounding, that help to identify the cause of the problem.

You're kinda missing the point, nevertheless I've tried these things and a dozen more.
It's not just me having this problem, literally everyone in my game community does (at least those that use intuos 480/490)
As I said, it is 100% driver related. I'm using the intuos 480, with 6.3.9w5 I don't have input lag but instead the cursor just shakes around and draws squares instead of circles, any other driver is perfectly smooth but has delayed input.. (I've tried about 10 including the latest)

I can link Literally hundreds of topics complaining about this if needed..

(For reference, this is what drawing a CIRCLE looks like on 6.3.9w5 and 636-3 : ...
I've recorded this within osu in order to make the trail especially visible, bear with the music lol)

Update : I've just realized, this only applies to Windowed/Borderless Applications, Fullscreen works like a charm ( atleast on 6.3.11w3, on which i am currently)

So why is it that 6.3.9w5 can handle windowed apps without input delay but any other driver cant?
Having to play Fullscreen is not going to be a HUGE deal but fixxing this problem shouldnt be a huge deal either i guess?

Please note, that we can only base any enhancement requests or bug mentions on the latest version of the driver.
You can imagine that it will not be possible to build a side-branch of an older driver for bugfixes.

Thus please test the latest driver from and let us know your results. Then mention the driver version to us.

As I've already mentioned i did already try the newest one which is 6.3.23-1, the behaviour is the same (+ it sometimes just moves a bit on its own for whatever reason), immense lag on windowed, close to no lag in fullscreen
