Error with the Intuos Pen & Touch driver

Postby solraglem » Thu 29. Dec 2016, 00:13

When I connect my Wacom Intuos Pen & Touch Small tablet by USB, the drivers are installed by Windows Update, but it appears:

Could not install device driver software.

Please contact the device manufacturer for assistance with the installation of this device.

Wacom Tablet X Errors

Wacom software is installed, but does not recognize the device.

When I try to configure the stylus, "No supported tablet was found in the system"

I have Windows 7 64 bit.

Sometimes Windows is searching for driver on the web instead of using the basic local drivers. In this case unplug the tablet, disconnect from internet for the moment and plug in the tablet. Windows has local drivers for HID devices and should use its own standard drivers. Once that is fished and the LED comes on, you can reconnect to the internet and install the tablet driver. If still a problem, go to Start menu -> Wacom Tablet and use the tablet utility to remove the settings. This forces a new search for the tablet and restarts the driver.

I disconnected the internet, uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled them, plugged in the tablet and everything worked correctly. Thank you so much!
