Ok, you're saying that you've created a device that wasn't meant to run on previous versions of Windows, while barely managing to figure out how it will work on 10, which was released in 2015? The thing that's weird is that I write this on an Asus Vivotab Note 8 which has Windows 8.1 and is running the similar type of Wacom EMR stylus tech as the Slate, perhaps with similar drivers. (Btw, the quality of that tablet is so good that I had to replace the stylus connection cable so that the damn thing could barely work... with now drivers crashing after a certain amount of time spent drawing. I'm guessing that's what ASUS calls "persistent perfection" :/). Is it really not possible to solve this issue or has Microsoft forbidden any further support for it's previous OS versions? I am reading on some forums that the upgrade to Windows 10 on this tablet is a nightmare and that reverting to 8.1 afterwards is even worse. So, you sense how reluctant I may be to try upgrading and go though another couple of months of driver issues and stylus failures. (hint: very reluctant!) Once again, I kindly ask if you could possibly find some kind of further information related to this problem. Could you inform someone in your company who has worked specifically on EMR technology or Inkspace connectivity? What about even some kind of a stable workaround, like Android OS emulation with installed Inkspace? Would that work? How? Thank you for your time reading this and, I hope, resolving the problem.

The device was never envisioned to be used with desktop or laptop computers. The ideal use scenario was always to have it being an accessory for your mobile device - smartphone or tablet. Due to popular demand and request from many users, we tried to implement this in a full built operating system but it was not as simple since this was not considered from the product conception. We managed to make it work with Windows 10 and Mac OSx but we will not be able to make it work on Windows 8.1.
As for Android emulation, we have no means to test or support this workaround.

No news. Perhaps in a future release. For now you can export as pdf from the Inkspace portal - https://inkspace.wacom.com
