Cintiq 27 QHD No Pressure in Apps

Postby mb23721 » Mon 13. Nov 2017, 11:20

Hi,

I got a new Cintiq 27 QHD (Non-Touch),but I'm not getting pressure sensitivity in my apps like Painter 2018, Photoshop or Krita. When I use the Wacom diagnostics, I do see pressure being registered. It just seems to be in the apps I'm not seeing any pressure. Windows Ink is set to true in the Wacom Device Centre. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks

The effect of pressure can be very different in various apps. For example in Photoshop go to brush palette and enable shape dynamics, select a brush and check the brush settings, if there a parameter set to react to pressure: opacity, size, color etc. For size make sure that the maximum brush size is sufficient big to see a difference. - Most Painter and Krita brushes are usually pressure sensitive, though some affect only opacity or depend on tilt.

Thanks. I reset all tools in PS and pressure and tilt seems to work now.

So far I'm not getting tilt nor pressure in Painter 2017/18. When I use the brush calibration in Painter I don't see pressure being applied either. I've also tried turning Windows Ink on / off and enabling brush calibration.

Actually the trick on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is to install the Wacom drivers (version 6.3.25-5) in Safe Mode with Networking. Once I did that, Painter just worked with tilt and pressure.
