Cintiq 20wsx

Postby sipherlucian » Thu 17. May 2018, 08:48

Hi folks, older model but someone might hae an idea. My cintiq 20wsx has been acting up for a while, i found recently that the DVI connector has gone faulty, it could be one of the pins but since wacom no longer support this device i have to live with it. I can get around that at the moment anyway.
The issue im finding is when i turn the monitor on in the morning, the screen wont come on nor does it recognize the pen the status light doesn't flash, the computer wasnt turned off its usually always left on, i have to disconnect the wacom - connect it to a DVI on an older PC that has a DVI connection - then reconnect it to my current PC (using a displayport adapter, not faulty, no DVI on this card) and then it works, it will work constantly once its left on but when i turn it off and leave it overnight the next morning its no longer working. Does it need to warm up maybe, cant see how it will warm up if the backlight wont come on? dont understand how connecting it to another PC makes it work either
