Yellow/white spot on Cintiq 16 (Dead pixels?)

Postby angrygymnast » Fri 27. Jul 2018, 21:17

Hello, I need help. Today I turned my cintiq on and I noticed a white/yellow spot on the right side of the screen. It is very noticeable and it BLINKS when I'm using the cintiq. A friend says this might be dead pixels (the screen dying or possible bleed?). Hereby, I attach a link to a dropbox folder so that you can see how it looks) I've had this Cintiq for over 1 year and four months. I've treated the device kindly and had taken good care of it.
This month I've been using the cintiq every day and TODAY I noticed this problem.

I still can reclaim the warranty, so it'd be of great help if you can enlighten me as to what is going on here. I really use my device to work and wouldn't want to keep on using it if the screen is going to keep on getting worse. It would be great to have a heads up as to what this is, before I get in touch with wacom.

Thanks in advance!
