Cintiq Pro 16 reverses behavior in ZBrush when switching to Tablet Mode

My Cintiq is cloning the main display at 2560 x 1440. Maybe this is relevant? Although obviously this only affects display mode. Also I have 3 displays (4 with Cintiq) and in tablet mode the pen mapping is set to only the mentioned monitor.

And one more observation. The cooler seems to run all the time, even in tablet mode. Even when the computer is in standby actually, I just noticed the cooler runs even then.

That might actually be something causing issues with the driver. I am not able to test this by connecting that many monitors right now. It's possible that the driver is not being able to process your setup correctly. Can you please clarify how is your setup looking regarding the displays?
Generally, in similar situations what I recommend if that you unplug all the display and plug only the Cintiq and 1 of the displays to create your setup. Then add the other monitors one by one. This usually helps the driver and the operating system know what is what. Please be aware as well that the Display Toggle function is designed to operate between 2 screens, not 4 displays in total so some "clunkyness" can be expected.

I believe that is normal. Perhaps it can be changed with a firmware update but I'm not sure that is worth the effort. Most users seldom use the Cintiq Pro 16 in tablet mode.

I would think a cooler should only run when there's hot temperature? And why does it run with the computer in standby? That seems odd. A way to dim those lit buttons at the top right would also not hurt by the way. They're quite bright.

The cooler needs to run at all times. Some components will warm up, even if you don't feel in on the screen. Be aware that 4k displays normally need more powerful hardware that will naturally warm up as well. Even if you are not using the highest resolution, the hardware will still use all resources. The fan noise should be minimal anyway. If you find that the noise in your fans is abnormally loud, please check with the support team.

Even in tablet mode when the screen is not running at all? Why does an Intuos not have a cooler then?

The Intuos doesn't have a display and it's powered via standard USB (5V, 0.5A).
The Cintiq Pro 16 is powered by 20 VDC, 2.25 A (4 x times more power than standard USB). The hardware inside requires more power and naturally generates more heat. Even if the display is off and you are just using the pen, the device still receives the full power from the power supply.
Bear in mind that the original purpose of the Cintiq Pro 16 is to be used as a pen display and the device is optimised to ensure it works correctly as such. Tablet mode is an added feature but the device is not optimised for this mode.

Yeah I use both modes, I appreciate tablet mode is there I think it was a great idea. I use it like tablet by default, also for its touch capability to scroll through web pages for example. It's handy in ZBrush too actually. For drawing I can switch to screen mode.
