Pen pressure TOO sensitive even by pressing lightly

Postby murilocavalcanti » Fri 22. Mar 2019, 22:30

Hello,

Suddenly my pen pressure is too high even when i slightly touch the tablet with the pen.
So, my tablet has 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. Let's suppose that every level before 300 is completely ignored and is replaced by 300th level - I don't know if it makes sense, so here's a screenshot: https://prnt.sc/n1o1i0
This is how much it says I'm pressing the pen against the tablet, even though I am only touching it as light as I can.

I noticed that problem, so I updated my Wacom driver. Turns out nothing changed - so I uninstalled the driver completely and reinstalled it, and the issue didn't get fixed.

It IS NOT that famous "no pressure Wacom bug" that happens to everyone, because there is pressure - it's just too sensitive at the beginning.

My tablet is the Wacom Intuos CTL 4100, and it can't be a hardware problem because I've also tested with my Wacom Intuos CTL 480.

I really hope to fix that and I think some other people might also be having the same problem.
Thanks, in advance.

Hello.
By suddenly, do you mean after a driver update? Which driver and operating system are you using?

I would suggest you to try and customise the pen feel and see what works best for you. Playing around with the pressure curve will give you more control of the pressure feel and you can test it. https://101.wacom.com/UserHelp/en/Pen_Intuos.htm

Additionally, just to be sure there are no issues with your pen, please contact our support - https://support.wacom.com

There is no customize button on my settings screen - I'm using a CTL4100. All the settings are the same as before - nothing's wrong.

Also, as I said, it's not a physical problem with my pen, cause I've tested it with another tablet.

And yeah, suddenly. I cant remind of any problem after an update, but anyways, I updated the driver after the problem showed up cause I thought it would fix the issue.

it is not a hardware problem.

So it's not a hardware issue, and it's not a driver since it didn't start after a driver update and reinstalling makes no difference. It's either an issue with the OS, or with the drawing software you are using. Can you share more details?

I had a similar issue before and a simple restart of my computer fixed it. Hopefully its a simple fix like that.
