Alternatives to Pro Pen 2 on Cintiq Pro 13?

Postby Leif99 » Sun 12. May 2019, 23:01

Just bought a Cintiq Pro 13, and it's working great, except friction with the supplied Pro Pen 2 is far less than what I need. Two kinds of nibs come with the pen: regular and felt. Both of these are much too slippery for me. I need a "rubbery" feel.

I would like to use Flex nibs. I use these successfully on other devices (Samsung Note 4, Samsung Series 7 Slate), with an Axiotron stylus (AXT-MB100-0S01), which unfortunately does not work on my Cintiq Pro 13.

Searching for hours, I cannot find any Flex nibs compatible with the Pro Pen 2.

So, I am hoping to buy an "older generation" stylus that will (1) work with my Cintiq Pro 13 and (2) also be able to take Flex nibs like ACK20004, for that "rubbery" feel that I depend on. Is that possible? I cannot find a list anywhere that indicates what styluses are compatible with the Cintiq Pro 13.

Hello.
There are compatible pens like the Grip Pen or the Pro Pen 1 that can use the Flex nib but I wouldn't recommend them to be used on any Wacom Cintiq display. These nibs can grab debris and you run the risk of scratching the display. If this happens, it's not covered by warranty.

Thanks. Is there a screen protector that you can recommend, then? Hopefully something that has a "matte" or "textured" quality which will apply friction to the flex nibs as well as the etched glass does.

Sorry. We don't recommend or endorse any screen protectors.
