Volito 2 and Windows 8

Volito 2 and Windows 8

Hi.

I was wondering if there were a way to get drivers for a Volito 2 to use with Windows 8.

Thanks in advance, A. Martin.

Driver version 5.30 should work with the Volito2 tablets, though there wasn't much testing for that.

Hi, I tried it with the newest driver 5.3.2 (selecting Bamboo, but I have too Volito 2) and it does not work well. For a first few minutes it is ok, but when I do not use it for a while and then try to use it, I can not see where the cursor is, until I press it against the tablet. Also trying to go into driver preferences ends up with recommendation for reinstallation of driver.

However, maybe I am not selecting the right driver, but how am I supposed to choose one, when there is no option for Volito 2? And also, when I select just Volito and Windows 8, there is no driver for that.

What should I do?

EDIT: I tried to install 5.3.0 over it and the tablet works fine again. However, I am not sure if this will last, so if the problem reoccurs with this driver too, I will re-edit this post.

So it took a little longer to happen, but yes, the problem is back, even with 5.3.0 driver. Just suddenly, while using, it stopped reacting and did not work altogether. I just unplugged it and plugged it in again and it draws, but I can not see where the cursor is again - which makes it pretty useless, since I can't guess, where it is going to draw, when I do not see the pointer

I recommend to use driver 5.25 for this. If the probelm still hapens, go to Start menu -> Bamboo and use the tablet preference file utility to remove the settings. You can also create a settings backup file with that utility and restore settings by doubleclicking on this file.

There is no such driver for Windows 8. Only for Windows 7. But I'll give it a go.

EDIT: So far so good.
