Intuos GD-0608-R serial to usb
Hello there.
I am currently going bonkers trying to make my Intuos 1 (GD) 6x8 tablet work. It is in perfect condition.
I am running Windows XP (32bit) and have installed a driver fom Wacom's web site.
The computer tells me it has found the Wacom and installs the driver, but my tablet still wont work.
The GD-0608-R 6x8 tablet uses a serial plug, but I've bought a serial to usb cable and it is installed and working.
Why can't I use the Wacom?
Please help me!!!
Cheers,
Simon.

Re: Intuos GD-0608-R serial to usb
First take the tablet away, make sure that the software for the serial-to-USB adapter is installed correctly and creates a serial port Com1, that you should see in device manager. Then attach the tablet and restart Windows. If it finds the tablet, cancel the automatic driver search. Then install the tablet driver. If possible let it search manually for the comport and tablet. - If it finds no serial port, make sure the adapter is installed correctly and that the port is not blocked by other software. If a port is found, but no tablet: turn the tablet off/on and repeat the search.
