Pen delay

Postby kangum » Thu 11. Jul 2019, 19:19

I have wacom cintiq pro 24 and on some lines only some there is a delay when I make the line and when it shows up. I draw the line and poof it just appears. Also some light pressure isn’t registered. I am on newest apple mohave and using the newest drivers. My permissions look ok and the cintiq is recognized like it should. If I do one long continuous line it’s fine but if I do small short hatch lines they just suddenly appear instead of following the cursor. I tried updating everything I don’t know what else to try. I’m on a Mac btw so windows solutions don’t work.

This is OS X version 10.14.5 and the delay only effects photoshop. I am getting it on occasional longer strokes also where the stroke just appears. I just need to know for sure if this is a driver issue or my computer. Computer is 2012 iMac i5 3.2 ghz 32gb ram and crappy 675mx video card.

I hooked up my old wacom cintiq 16 Pro and experienced the same lag only in photoshop. I went into my photoshop settings and photoshop had set some very demanding settings from my graphics card which is the weak point in my system. Once I turned down the graphics card demand there was a huge improvement and the lag looks like it’s gone for now.
