Cintiq Pro 24 / 32 Fan Noise - Pen vs Touch

Postby vasturn » Wed 16. Sep 2020, 19:03

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a Cintiq 24 pro and wondering about the fan noise.... I recently tried a 32 and found the fan noise reasonably annoying (though I appreciate it's a trade off against heat and the screen did stay nice and cool)

From what I have read, the "pen and touch" model has had a "low" option for the fan speed added in the settings menu, whilst the "pen only" model does not have this available - is that correct? and if so what is the reason that the "pen only" model doesn't have it, please? Is heat more of an issue with the additional capacitive touch layer under the screen?

Also does anyone know, is the fan noise of a similar level between the 32 and 24?

thanks for any info.

The "Low" setting is available for the DTK-2420 (Pen only) and the DTH-2420 (Pen and Touch). It would make no sense to only make it available to one of the versions.
The level of noise is subjective. From my experience is as low as the the 32. This is using the devices in a quiet open office environment.

Thanks for the info, Wacom5. That's great. I've ordered a 24 pen from the Wacom store.
