Bamboo CTE-650: not working in Zbrush and annoying alt/shift/ctrl popups

Postby Zealot » Fri 16. Apr 2021, 09:14

I'm using the driver 5.3.5-3 for my Bamboo fun CTE-650 (only driver that works*, the later ones don't detect it anymore) with Windows 10, and I have a few problems:
-If I turn off Ink, the pen stops working altogether, only the buttons still react; however, that also means that i get those annoying Windows popups whenever I press alt, Ctrl or Shift whenever I'm using the pen at the same time. It makes Photoshop CC 2017 extremely laggy with a delay of 3 to 5 seconds for an action to be processed. Like I mentioned, if I turn off Ink, the popups disappear but the pen pressure is not detected anymore. Creating a PSUserConfig file doesn't seem to solve that.
- my pen doesn't react at all in Zbrush 2021; I don't get any error message or anything, it's just not working/detected, not even as a mouse, probably because it disables Ink.

I haven't used the tablet in a year, but the only thing I can think that changed is that I switched to Windows 10.
Is there no way to have it work again? The hardware is still working, I would be seriously annoyed to have to throw away something that works.

*Note: the page for drivers indicates for my model that I should be using 5.2.5-5a (which doesn't work at all, I get a prompt saying I should reboot or reinstall the driver) so I tried the 5.3.5-3 which is normally for CTH-661 and has its own distinct page.
