Accidental double click issue

Postby Peteskiiii » Tue 4. Jul 2017, 01:03

Hi All!

Hey I am having this issue where the wacom keeps double clicking things accidentally.
The problem is that if I tap one part of the screen, then another quickly, it will act as a double click on the second area.

Am I missing a setting somewhere? I work pretty quickly so this is starting to get a bit frustrating.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Pete

mouse settings might help. changing the double click speed to fast on systemsettings -> mouse helped me a lot.
It still happens time by time, but not every third click like it used to!

I also had the problem of unintended double left clicks on my Intous 3 (PTZ) tablet mouse. I have read that the problem may not be the mouse itself but rather a problem of caching in the USB buffer. I tried moving the tablet from a USB 3.0 port to a USB 2.0 port, and the problem seems to have gone away.

Update: It appears that the "solution" of moving to a USB2.0 port did not actually solve the problem. It seemed to go away but after a while I noticed it still happening. As an experiment, I changed the scroll wheel switch to a "click" and disabled the left mouse button. Then for a time I used the scroll wheel as a single click. An extended test showed the double click problem no longer existed. I then opened my mouse, desoldered the left and right switches and swapped them. At this point I have no longer any unintended double clicks. I can only assume that the actual physical switch was "bouncing" and producing the unintended double clicks. Of course, a double right click is no problem, so the mouse now works as intended.
